If you have a car you are forced to because you can’t use Apple Car Play if you don’t enable Siri.
I also don’t use but I have to have it enabled to be able to use Google Maps, and Siri occasionally mistakes a conversation for being invited to listen and speak.

It works for me, but I'm using wired carplay on an iphone 11 w/ios27. (In the US, Swapped to Siri Classic, then disabled it.)
Looking around online it seems doing it wired can bypass the Siri requirement. Which may work in my case because in the Ford headunit I can force wireless projection to be off and blocked (including turning off the wifi for the headunit). So some cars might be forcing wireless Carplay and triggering the Siri requirement.
Is that sarcasm, or do you really need 20 of them? I'm an avid news reader, and there is no way I could get through even a fraction of that number of news sources daily.
And isn't most major news covered by every one of the biggest news sources - one great source can accommodate the vast majority of news topics for someone, especially if they are on a tight budget.

We actually kind of need more than that. It is like here: we collectively select through ranking a number of pieces - but they are scattered (on a.com and b.org and c.info...).
I would also like to read through the whole of the Economist and the FT etc. - what we do instead is select what we read, and what we pick will come from many sources.
We changed to jemalloc first on a jvm service which we could never get to run in its kube memory limit. with jemalloc its been dead stable for years, and we made it the default for all jvm services
NGL, its a little annoying and disheartening that many can now partially build with an LLM tool what I spent so many years learning. It does not cover all cases, but there is an element of this.
Yeah, I have stopped basically all consumption except from youtube, which itself also has a tendency to expand to fill all available time. I dont use shorts that much, but there is just much good content being released as well.
yeah, now that you mention it i remember a similar issue for us on postgres where we transitioned tables without primary key to being primary key serial.
