What ruins the "we care about your workspace" part though is how the message is phrased as a threat. Fail to pay and you'll lose acces to this and that and that other thing...

Slack tries to sell to employees as well though, there are feature CTAs I see all the time trying to get me to express interest so they can tell the admin/owner of the account "Your employees want this feature, pay us more money".

I took Grammarly's side, since we used a few SaaS and the CFO (small company for context) revoked access and we had to beg him. Reading the comments about multiple SaaS annoying end users changed my mind.

You are confusing your right as an individual to do what you want with your OS, and the rights of developers to do what they want, with their software. You have the right to use whatever software you like. They have the right to not sell or give you their software if you don't want to abide by their rules.

This is under-appreciated part of it. Search had been deliberately degraded for some time now as part of the usual enshittification arc. Where as AI is still in the early part of the arc where its trying to do better, so the difference between them seems even bigger.

But seeing disney+ now go all ads for all tiers just shows that's the way they arc bends. Eventually AI will take over and when it does, it will then turn into the shittiest shit ad-infused service the world has ever known.

That's how AI will surpass us. Once we enshittify humans sufficiently, AI will flourish. That's why I support extensive AI use in school classrooms, the younger the better, it's the best policy for OpenAI and Anthropic investors.

Why not? If you let the LLM run amok, you get 4 one line functions calling each other instead of one 4 line function. Run that for 24 hours and you'll get more than 2000 tests.
